PAT testing

What are Portable Electrical Appliances?

Portable Appliances include any electrical equipment connected
to a 240 / 110 volt supply sockets. In most cases it is equipment
that is plugged into a 13 amp electrical socket outlet. Any
Appliances on your premises that can be used by employers,
employees, customers or the public must be maintained in a safe
condition.

Examples of portable appliances include computers and their
accessories, photocopiers, printers, heaters, televisions, VCR’s,
hairdryers, food mixers, kettles, fans, drills, work tools, fridges &
freezers and extension leads.

Our PAT Testing Service includes the following:

  • Minor repairs and retests
  • Any necessary termination of cables
  • Any necessary replacement of standard plug tops
  • Any necessary replacement of fuses
  • All standard Merryhills Electrical pass or fail labels, with
    test dates & and next test due date.
  • Each asset will be given a unique identification number
  • A record in respect of each asset inspected & tested,
    which includes company name, location, description,
    test readings & results.
  • A full copy of the report in Electronic or Paper form.
  • A PAT testing certificate (Electrical Safety certificate)
